We’ve got good news and bad news for our dear readers. The good news is that they’ve got another major game release to look forward to next year. The bad news is that it’s going to be Nightingale.

Inflexion Games made the announcement that the shared world Victorian era survival sandbox’s launch will be delayed yet again during their Gamescom presentation yesterday. The game was originally supposed to launch into early access in the fall of 2022 but was pushed back to the first half of 2023, then to this fall, and now it’s going to be February 2024 barring another delay.

“That date is a few months later than we previously announced,” admitted Inflexion Games CEO Aaron Flynn. “But as a studio, we’re committed to quality, and we take player satisfaction very seriously. We want to ensure that the game delivers on the expectations of our community, who have played a vital role in the development to date.”

“We strive to ensure that Nightingale not only fulfills our vision but also becomes a cherished place for our players to explore and discover with their friends for many years to come,” he added.

Following Nightingale’s early access launch, Flynn promises to work directly with the game’s fans and community to make necessary improvements. He also promises regular content drops and updates along the way to full release.

“Nightingale’s Early Access will mark the beginning of a shared journey towards full release,” Flynn said. “Early Access gives players a chance to participate in development and it gives the team a unique opportunity to explore new ideas with a live community.”
