Nightingale’s Early Access Has Been Delayed Again, This Time To Fall 2023

Inflexion Games has announced yet another delay for their highly anticipated portal-jumping game, Nightingale. After being delayed from last fall to the first half of this year, it’s now been pushed back to later this fall.
“The reason for the release date shift is simple: The playtest process is working,” said Inflexion Games CEO Aaryn Flynn it the studio’s latest developer video. “The feedback we were receiving from players has been invaluable, and the extra time will allow us to continue the progress we’ve been making while not jeopardizing the health of our team.”
“There are a number of things we want to do with this extra time, from quality-of-life improvements (like crafting bench animations) to tuning progression and pacing to continuing to work to make the realms feel as mystical and amazing as they can be,” he added. “That said, this will still be an early access launch, so we want to keep the process of feedback and iteration between us and our community going even as we’re live.”
In the meantime, Inflexion Games has decided to upgrade the game to the shiny new Unreal Engine 5.2 and will be expanding its pool of testers for the next playtest. For those who’ll be lucky enough to get an invite, do remember that all playtests will be covered by an NDA until further notice.
