Lost Ark Updates Top Issues List, Addresses Bots, Central EU Queues, And Matchmaking

Amazon Game Studios has updated the list of known issues in Lost Ark following the release of the big Hunt for the Guardian Slayer update earlier this week.

On top of the list is the issue of botting which the team has been working to address over the past few weeks. Last week, saw the banning of over a million accounts that have been found to be engaging in the illicit activity. The team promises regular ban waves to ensure that the game is kept as bot-free as possible.

“We know this will not fix the situation by itself and there are still bots present the game, so we want to provide reassurance that this was just one step in an ongoing battle,” said Amazon. “We are also working on internal methods and tools to make it much more difficult for bots to enter the game, especially at the current rate they are being created. These updates will soon be on their way to the game.”

Gold rewards for several Rapport and Guide quests have been changed to Silver to make it harder for botters and gold farmers to abuse the system. The team says that they’ll continue to monitor the in-game economy and will be making adjustments as necessary.

Next up is the ongoing problem of overpopulation in the Europe Central data center which has seen significant improvements with the addition of the Europe West data center and the recent bot-related bans. Amazon is also giving players more incentive to start fresh in the Europe West region with a modified login reward campaign that will help new players catch up.

Other issues on the list, include matchmaking problems and requests for a language filter in chat. The latter has been added to the game with last week’s update while the former continues to be a work-in-progress although a recent update has reportedly improved the overall experience even during peak times.
