Amazon Game Studios has implemented new measures to combat botting and RMT in Lost Ark following the temporary removal of the Punika Powerpass and the gifting feature last week.

The Punika Powerpass allows players to instantly boost a character to the endgame with an item level of 1302 and bypass the entire Punika questline. The feature was disabled indefinitely due to undisclosed reasons shortly after the Spells and Spades update came out, although it’s removal presumably had something to do with its vulnerability to abuse and exploits. Gifting was also disabled the day after while the developers addressed “a problem related with the use of the feature.”

Both features are still unavailable with no timeline given on when they will return. In the meantime, the team has announced new rules to govern the use of the features and the Rapport system to further deter real-money traders. These rules have taken effect following the release of today’s patch.

All Gold earned from exchanging Una’s Tokens after the use of a paid Powerpass and those earned from the Rapport system will be subject to a 72-hour withholding period. Withheld funds will not be usable in one-on-one trades and in the Auction House, Marketplace, Loot Auctions, and when accepting billing mail. They also can’t be sent through the in-game mail.

With the new measures in place, the team is currently working on resolving the issue with the Punika Powerpass and promises an update later this week.
