Last week’s Lost Ark update, dubbed Spells and Spades, introduced the new Arcanist class along with a pair of progression events to help get new players and newly-created Arcanists off to a running start. One of these events is the Punika Powerpass that allowed players to skip the entire Punika questline and jump straight to Item Level 1302.

The Punika Powerpass, however, was unceremoniously disabled shortly after the update’s launch due to unspecified issues. Today, gifting functions have also been temporarily disabled, again due to undisclosed reasons. There’s no word on when the two features will become available again.

“Gifting in Lost Ark has temporarily been disabled as we address a problem related to the use of the feature,” announced Amazon. “Powerpasses also remain disabled, and we’ll provide an update on the state of these features as soon as possible.”

While Amazon has yet to offer an official explanation for the features’ removal, the community speculates that it might have something to do with the studio’s ongoing fight against botting and RMT which has been a thorn in its side since the fantasy MMORPG launched earlier this year. We’ll be sure to let you know as soon as we hear more from the developers.
