Lost Ark’s EU Server Merge Is Taking A Lot Longer Than Expected

Lost Ark’s big European server merge is taking a lot longer than Amazon and Smilegate expected. The maintenance downtime was supposed to take 12 hours but it’s now been roughly 30 hours and the servers have yet to come back online with still no word from the developers.
While extended maintenance times are understandable, particularly when it comes to big server updates, the lack of communication from the team hours after the deadline passed is starting to frustrate the game’s European community.
At the end of the day though, there’s really not much they can do except wait. We’d also like to remind affected players that they might lose their character and guild names following the merge, so you can take the extra time to come up with a really cool one.
