Lost Ark’s Highly Awaited Class Updates Is Expected To Arrive In January 2024

When Lost Ark’s big Soul Harvest update rolled out earlier this month, it arrived with the Souleater class as advertised. What wasn’t included was the sweeping class buffs that were included in the Korean version of the update, to the disappointment of the fantasy MMORPG’s players.
At the time, the only explanation that Amazon offered was that they had a different approach to game-changing updates. The studio, however, has recently confirmed that the highly awaited class updates will eventually be making its way to game in January 2024.
According to Amazon, porting over updates from the Korean version to the western version takes time. It requires testing literally hundreds of changes and removing or changing items that won’t work with the western version. This will then be followed by more testing and more tweaking until the update is finally ready for release. Overall, it takes about three months for Amazon to complete the process.
“We appreciate your passion for Lost Ark and excitement for the recent changes in Korea, and we know that many players would like to see balance updates released more quickly in the west,” Amazon said. “Amazon Games is working with Smilegate RPG to look into how we can make this happen outside of the base build system we currently use, and we’re working hard to bring you more good news in the future.”
With the highly sought-after balance changes that recently released in Korea, we wanted to let players know we hear their feedback and give a look into our process.
