Lost Ark’s Soul Harvest Arrives With The Souleater Class But Without Korean Class Buffs

The Korean version of Lost Ark received a big update earlier this week that saw significant buffs to nearly all of the fantasy MMORPG’s playable classes alongside the debut of the Souleater class. Unfortunately, the said balance pass won’t be making it to the western version, much to the dismay of western players.
Amazon Game Studios acknowledged the community’s excitement over the Korean update but promises to explain why it decided against releasing the update on the western port. The studio also promised to explain their approach to porting game-changing updates in a dev blog next week.
As for the Souleater class, it’s now live in the western version as part of yesterday’s Soul Harvest update, alongside a new leveling and powerpass event to help new Souleaters get off to a running start.
“The Souleater – the Master of Specters – is an Assassin subclass who wields a giant scythe to collect her enemies’ souls. Souleater can choose to attack in three different ways: directly with the scythe, by summoning the dead, or with powerful Deathlord attacks.”
Jump start servers have also been reconnected to their respective regions and will now function the same way as existing ones, allowing players to access region-wide features like the auction house, marketplace, party finder, and PvE matchmaking. All ongoing progression events on the jump start servers will still be available until December 13th as originally scheduled.
You can check out the full patch notes on the Lost Ark official site and in the video below if you prefer it in video format.
