Torchlight Infinite Season 2 Begins With A New Game Mode And Premium Hero
Torchlight Infinite ushers in a new season alongside a new game mode for the mobile and PC multiplayer ARPG. In Season 2: Blacksail, you’ll venture out into the Sea of Void to take on two new bosses for a chance to obtain new Legendary Hero Relics and other Legendary items.
“The story of the new season takes place in the endless Sea of Void, and the biggest challenge we will face this season will be the Lord of the Void Sea, the king of pirates, who leads the fleet to plunder the realm, and the countless crew members that he enslaves.”
Before you can pick a fight with the Lord of the Void Sea, you’ll first need to collect Void Sea Night Flames which you’ll then place in a Void Sea Seal to start the challenge. Successfully beating the challenge will reward you with a Seal Wisper. Break six of those to take on the Bride of Void Sea at the Void Sea Terminal. Defeating her will allow you to open the bride’s treasure and possibly receive Void Sea Invitations. Collect enough of those and you’ll finally be able to challenge the Lord of the Void Sea himself.
That’s a lot of hoops to jump through but hopefully it will all pay off in the form of Legendary Hero Relics, a new item type that you can use to significantly improve your hero traits and combat style.
Alongside the new season challenge, Torchlight Infinite has also welcomed the light-footed Cateye Erika as its newest hero. To unlock her, all you have to do is purchase the Season 2 Pass. “Cateye Erika, a girl from Ichi, has now joined Torchlight. She's agile and good at dealing lethal blows to enemies when moving at high speed,” announced developer XD.
The Season 2 update also introduces a new hero trait for Berserker Rehan, along with new skills, Chaos Invasion adjustments, new Pactspirits, various combat tweaks, new daily login rewards, and controller support. The team has also added a trade tax for selling items in the Trade House and a 12-hour trade restriction for new accounts, among other changes, improvements, and fixes.
