Torchlight Infinite Unveils ‘The City Of Aeterna’ Expansion Coming In September

Multiplayer ARPG Torchlight Infinite is getting a new expansion early next month called The City of Aeterna. The expansion will open up a new explorable zone on Leptis where players will find the ruins of an ancient unnamed city with riches beyond measure.

“Legends tell of a great and eternal city on Leptis, once blessed with prosperity and peace. A city that disappeared one day, swallowed by a foreboding fog,” teased XD Games. “Where it once stood, a labyrinth of derelict ruins and withered trees are all that can be seen when the mist rises, promises of endless wealth and ancient powers hidden within. Over the years, many Hunters have come in pursuit of treasure, the city lying dormant, waiting for the chosen ones to reignite its long lost flame. Now the fog rises once more, will you answer the call? Can you retrieve the city’s endless loot, or will you become yet another trapped soul?”

There’s not much information about the upcoming expansion aside from the teaser video below, but the dev team promises to reveal more information in a livestream on August 26th. The expansion itself is set to launch on September 8th, which also coincides with the multi-platform ARPG’s first anniversary.

Speaking of the game’s anniversary, XD Games reports that the game has pulled in over three million players globally on both PC and mobile since it launched in September 2022.
