Torchlight Infinite Will Add Hero Relics And PC Controller Support In Season 2
Torchlight Infinite will be taking players on a journey to The Sea of Void next year when the multi-platform ARPG kicks off its new season. Season 2: Blacksail will introduce a brand new narrative that will see players face off against a new boss, the Lord of the Void Sea.
“The story of the new season takes place in the endless Sea of Void, and the biggest challenge we will face this season will be the Lord of the Void Sea, the king of pirates, who leads the fleet to plunder the realm, and the countless crew members that he enslaves.”
Before they can take on the pirate king though, they’ll have to first obtain a “Void Sea Invitation” ticket by defeating the Bride of the Void Sea.
Aside from the new boss encounters, Season 2 will also come with several new features and content, including new skills and the new Hero Relics system.
“As we enter the new season, Hunters will gain access to two new hero items: Hero Relics and Hero Memories,” said developer XD. “Each Hunter can equip one Hero Relic, offering up to 3 slots which can be inlaid with collectable Hero Memories, providing powerful affixes that are closely related to the hero’s specialization. Helping to create more diverse build possibilities, Torchlight: Infinite will also introduce 5 new main Skills with the launch of the new season: Moon Strike, Howling Gale, Thunder Slash, Blazing Bullet, Haunting Abomination.”
The new season starts on January 12th and will also introduce PC controller support that’s been optimized with Steam Deck players in mind. You can check out the official Blacksail trailer right after the jump.
