Lost Ark's 'Under the Arkesian Sun' Update Launches on August 24 and Introduces the Pet Ranch

Lost Ark's latest update, titled 'Under the Arkesian Sun', is scheduled to launch on August 24 and with it comes the game's highly anticipated Pet Ranch system. Pet Ranches' are an instanced Stronghold location where players can create, train, and play with their pets. As pets level they unlock new abilities which can enhance players while they're in combat.

The 5 Pet Skills (which are randomly unlocked) are:

Cheers of the Heart
20% chance of recovering 8% of Max HP
40% chance of casting a 5s Shield for 10% of Max HP
40% chance of recovering 3% of Max HP

Cheers of Serenity
20% chance of resetting Cooldown of Movement and Stand Up Skills, and reducing the Cooldown by 40% for 8s
40% chance of casting a 5s Shield for 10% of Max HP
40% chance of recovering 3% of Max HP

Cheers of Heaven
20% chance of Attack Speed +3% for 8s
40% chance of casting a 5s Shield for 10% of Max HP
40% chance of recovering 3% of Max HP

Cheers of Courage
20% chance of Move Speed +5% for 8s
40% chance of casting a 5s Shield for 10% of Max HP
40% chance of recovering 3% of Max HP

Cheers of Resonance
20% chance of Specialty Meter gain +10% for 8s
40% chance of casting a 5s Shield for 10% of Max HP
40% chance of recovering 3% of Max HP

While Lost Ark's playerbase has fallen substantially since its launch, it still averages 185,000 concurrent players (over the last 30 days), making it one of the most popular MMORPGs out there. These numbers are dropping alarmingly fast though and with no sign of stopping. Still, if these numbers stabilize at around half of current levels, it would still be huge.
