Lost Ark Will Now Allow You To Change Your Event Mission Character

Amazon Games Studios is making Lost Ark’s Express Mission Event more alt-friendly starting today with the addition of a welcome new feature. Following today’s weekly downtime, players will be able to change the character that will receive rewards from the event even if they’ve already started.
“We have seen the confusion and frustration from players that have started the event on a character that would not benefit as much as a different character on their roster,” said Amazon. “[…] We will be updating the event to implement a ‘character change’ feature. This feature will allow players to change their designated event character one time in order to make a more informed decision about what character they would like to claim Express Mission Event rewards on.”
Note that you can only change your character if you haven’t used the event’s honing benefits on any of your T1 or T2 gear. Once the update rolls out, players will get a notification that they won’t be able to change their selected event character the first time that they try to using the honing benefits. Additionally, only level 50 characters with item levels below 1100 can be assigned as an Express Mission Event character and newly-designated characters won’t be able to claim previously-claimed rewards.
Engraving Selection Chests rewards from Express Mission Events will also be updated to include all recipe selection options. This applies to previously-earned but unopened chests so it’s best to wait until the update rolls out before you open them.
The servers are currently down for maintenance as of this writing and will be back online in about four hours. In the meantime, this week’s patch notes are now up on the Lost Ark official forums if you want to check it out.
