Lost Ark Previews Vykas Legion Raid Arriving In Tomorrow’s Update

Amazon Game Studios has dropped more information on Lost Ark’s June update ahead of its release tomorrow with a particular focus on the new Vykas Legion Raid. The new endgame encounter will feature the same mechanics as last month’s Valtan Legion Raid including gated checkpoints and new Sidereals that players can summon to fight by their side.
“Vykas follows Valtan as the second Legion Raid arriving into the Western version of Lost Ark. In this raid, you’ll face dangerous and powerful members of the Covetous Legion before battling Legion Commander Vykas in her ‘Garden of Crimson Delight’.”
Vykas is an 8-player raid with a minimum item level requirement of 1430 for Normal difficulty and 1460 for the Hard version. As with Valtan, revives will not be permitted mid-battle but there will be three checkpoint gates that will allow players to save their progress as they advance through the raid. The new Legion Raid will also come with new boss mechanics, abilities, and characteristics.
“You’ll receive a reward whenever you clear a gate in a Legion Raid. Your completed gate information will be saved when you claim your reward, and your group can vote to decide whether you continue to the next gate or not,” explains Amazon. “If your group votes to continue on, you’ll move forward with your current group to challenge the boss, enemies, or Legion Commander guarding the next gate. If you’ve decided to wait on challenging the remaining gates, you can come back later with your group or find a new group until the weekly reset.”
The dev blog also offers some tips and tricks to help players reach the endgame and the item level required to take on the Valtan and Vykas Legion Raids. The team will also be running a Super Express Event and Feiton Powerpass from June 30th to July 20th to help boost players to the endgame item levels.
