Lost Ark Is Officially Live In The West After A Short Delay To Fix Deployment Issues

After a few hours’ delay to fix deployment issues, Lost Ark is finally live in the west with 15 additional servers to make sure that it doesn’t get too crowded. As compensation for the short delay, Amazon Game Studios is giving out three days of Crystalline Aura to all players who login from launch until 9:00 am PST on February 13th.

Players also reported missing characters which prompted the team to take the servers offline again while they investigate the issue. Fortunately, everything seemed to be in order and the servers went back up again just 30 minutes after. Meanwhile, the Auction House in US West servers has been temporarily disabled while the developers work to fix it.

All in all, launch day appears to be going quite smoothly for Amazon and the servers seem to be holding up well considering how popular the game is. The team is adding more servers as needed and have begun setting account limits on select servers to help keep wait times to a minimum and “get as many players into Arkesia” as they can.

“When an account limit is in place, new players will not be able to join the limited server or create characters there,” explained the devs. “If you already have a character on one of these servers, you will still be able to play and create additional characters for your Roster. These account limits will not be permanent, but will likely remain in place as long as they are needed to help regulate server queue times.”

Players are advised to communicate with their friends on what server works best and to be sure that they’re on the right server when redeeming Starter and Founder’s Pack items as these are tied to the server and not the account.

If you’re stuck on queue, there’s a brand new gameplay trailer below to help you pass the time.
