Lost Ark Head Start Kicks Off - Game Hits 532,000+ Concurrent Users

Lost Ark's head start launched today, meaning anyone who purchased a founders pack can begin playing the hit Korean MMORPG today and it looks like a lot of people bought founders packs. The game has over 532,000 concurrent users on Steam as of this post going live, which is incredibly impressive for an MMO at launch. The game is currently the second most played title on Steam, behind Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

For everyone who didn't purchase a founders pack, Lost Ark officially launches on February 11, 2022, so just 3 more days to play for free. Time will tell if the game can maintain these numbers, but if it can, it would be one of the biggest MMOs out. The game's 532,000+ concurrent player head-start launch already makes it one of the biggest MMO launches ever, but a lot of that can be attributed to heavy marketing spend by Amazon, the game's global publisher.

I'm excited about this one. Lost Ark has been a success in South Korea, so there's clearly something here.
