Lost Ark Adds New Summer Activities, A Pet Ranch, And Brings Back Event Guardians
With summer quickly winding down to a close, Lost Ark is throwing a final summer hurrah with the addition of new sunny outdoor activities in today’s update, including new water park content and the pet ranch feature for those who want to spend quality time with their paw-tners.
“The leaves from the Maharaka Tree in Maharaka Paradise are known to bring good luck. Collect as many as you can during the Maharaka Festival and exchange them for valuable rewards! This month, the ongoing Maharaka festival will add a new activity— Blooming Mokokos. Taking place every other hour in Maharaka Paradise, you receive Gold by finding blooming Mokokos. The more Mokokos you find, the better your chances!”
You can also bond and play with your pet in the new Pet Ranch that’s just opened in the Stronghold. Spending time with your pet in the ranch will allow it to earn the Pet Expertise it needs to level up and unlock new abilities. They’ll also create Jam Cookies which can be exchanged for Pet Growth Tokens needed to upgrade your pet to its Legendary state.
“Pets are granted a (random) powerful skill, and at random intermittent intervals, one of 3 effects granted by the skill will be applied to you while in combat,” Amazon said. “There are 6 Pet Skills which can be randomly unlocked and switched between.”
Those who’d rather spend the remaining summer days indoors can do so by taking on Event Guardians in a level-scaling arena. To enter the arena, you must be at least Combat Level 50 with a minimum Item Level of 250. You’ll be tasked with hunting down three Guardians for a chance to score various event rewards. Attacking the Guardians will cause them to drop massive damage buffs that stack up to three times. Defeat all three Guardians to a rewards chest with tokens that can be used to purchase various items from the event vendor. The chest can only be claimed once a day per character.
The icing on the cake is the return of premium Powerpasses in the cash shop. Powerpasses will be available at 25% off until September 7th and will now have additional restrictions to prevent them from being abused by botters and real-money traders. Following the use of a Powerpass, accounts will have the following restrictions applied to them for 72 hours:
- Cannot receive Gold billing mail
- Cannot send mail with gold attached
- Cannot send mail with items attached
- Cannot send currency during 1:1 trade
- Cannot offer items during 1:1 trade
- Cannot purchase or register items on the market.
- Cannot purchase, bid, or register items on the Auction House
- Cannot participate in a loot auction
- Cannot purchase Crystals
Growth Support Packs have also had their purchase limit raised from 1 to 3 packs per roster along with the introduction of a new daily login reward track and several bug fixes. You can check out the full patch notes on the Lost Ark official site.
