Lost Ark’s 1st Anniversary Event Goes Live Today With A Rubber Ducky Minigame

“Rubber ducky you’re the one, you make Lost Ark lots of fun,” would probably be a great theme song for the fantasy MMORPG’s first anniversary event. The event goes live today featuring a mini-game that sends players to the Hot Springs to collect rubber duckies by bopping other players on the head with giant ducky hammers.

“In the competition, two teams will face-off, armed with ducky hammers and vying to collect the rubber duckies,” Amazon explains. “Break the other team’s duck toy shield with your hammer to get the “duck toy” buff. Keep the buff and make it to your team’s finish line to score points. Protect your teammates who have the duck toy buff, or stop the opposing team’s buff to prevent them from getting points. Even if you’re losing by a lot, don’t give up! You can destroy the opposing team’s duck basket (where they keep their duck toys) for a lot of points, but remember, you also need to stop the opposing team from destroying your team’s duck basket.”

Note that you’ll need to have completed the “The Hot Springs Thank You Event Begins” quest to unlock the Hot Springs where the ducky smashing fun takes place. The daily mini-game will be available every two hours for the duration of the anniversary event and will reward you with Lost Ark Anniversary Cards that can be exchanged for event rewards. A new title is also up for grabs, along with new daily login rewards.

The anniversary patch will also open up the new Sylmael-filled Rowen continent for players with a minimum item level of 1445 and will nerf the Caliligos Guardian Raid. You can check out the full patch notes on the Lost Ark official site.
