Guild Wars 2 Goes To Gamescom And PAX West, Reveals Q3 Balance Update
ArenaNet announced the Guild Wars 2: Path of Fire expansion last Tuesday and are looking to keep the hype alive with a number of fan-focused events over the next few weeks leading up to the expansion’s launch on September 22.
The fan tour will kick off with a Path of Fire meet and greet at Gamescom on August 24th, followed by a “Go Behind the Sound of Video Games” panel at PAX West on September 1st, and culminating with the Guild Wars 2 Fifth Anniversary Party later that night. The anniversary party is open to everyone so if you're near the area you might want to check it out. You can find the details of the events on the official site.
If Path of Fire wasn’t enough, the team also revealed plans to roll out a massive item and equipment balance patch sometime in Q3 2017. According to a recent forum post, the patch will replace Boon Duration and Condition duration stat bonuses with bonuses for Concentration and Expertise instead. The update will also affect consumables, equipment, upgrades, utility consumables, and recipes.
