Guild Wars 2 details more of its new PvP update

Earlier we talked about new updates coming to GW2's PvP system. Today, NCSoft has given us more information about what we can expect to see in the new PvP update coming this June.
Skirmish Rewards
Pips, a currency first earned in Structured PvP, will now make its way to the Skirmish. When you reach higher tiers and divisions in Skirmish PvP, you will received rewards. Pips are earned per tick, and are awarded based on-
- Rank of the World
- Your own personal World vs. World Rank
- Whether or not you are the leader of a squad of five or more people
- Fighting while outnumbered
- Playing on the same world for at least three weeks
That last bullet point is there to discourage people from transferring worlds for easy rewards. Three weeks is the minimum time needed to be spent on a world before you can start earning pips.
Rewards for the Skirmish track include World vs. World specific items (improvements, tactics, siege, tricks, traps, and so on),as well as exotic and ascended Tier 2 World vs. World weapons and armor.
Match History
Displaying war score, victory points, and KDR for the entire world, a new and updated match history should make it easier for players to see how their world is faring in PvP.
Improved LFG
When entering World vs. World PvP, the Squad/Party UI will display three squads, and three parties that you can join that are currently participating in WvW, be it Squad Play or Party Play. NCSoft hopes this, coupled with the bonus pips you receive for commanding in Skirmish, will bring in more commanders that can teach newcomers to PvP the basics of World vs. World.

Tier 3 Armor
Requiring both Tier 1 and Tier 2 armor to be earned, Tier 3 armor is the best possible World vs. World armor that can be acquired. Each individual piece of armor will require a very high WvW rank, but will not require any crafting to earn.
Warbringer
A new legendary World vs. World backpack, Warbringer is themed after siege, and will emit smoke and flames when entering combat. Players must be rank 50 to acquire the Tier 1 backpack, which will require Skirmish Claim Tickets. A Glider is included as well, since this is a Legendary backpack.

Warbringer
All the changes outlined here will be coming to Guild Wars 2 on June 6th, the first installment of its June 2017 Competitive Feature Pack update.
