General Mahamatra Cyno Arrives In Genshin Impact As Its Newest 5-Star Electro Character
A bunch of new characters will be stepping foot in Genshin Impact in a few days’ time led by the new 5-Star Electro character – the General Mahamatra himself, Cyno.
“As the leader of all Matra, General Mahamatra Cyno is well known to everyone in the Akademiya. His duties are to arrest those who violate the Akademiya’s rules and regulations, terminate illegal studies, and uphold discipline of the Akademiya. Nevertheless, researchers feel that this General Mahamatra does nothing but undermine academic progress and prohibit scientific research. Some even claim that he is ‘cutting off the path to knowledge’ and can be seen as a dire threat to any researcher eager to seek knowledge.”
Equipped with the Invoker’s Spear, Cyno can deliver multiple attacks in rapid succession and charge forward to close the distance to his enemies while dealing damage to any enemies along the way. He can also charge up his attacks with Electro damage and morph into his Pathsworn Pathclearer state to bump up his damage.
“When Cyno is in the Pactsworn Pathclearer state, Cyno will enter the Endseer stance at intervals,” HoYoverse explained. “If he activates Secret Rite: Chasmic Soulfarer while affected by this stance, he will activate the Judication effect, increasing the DMG of this Secret Rite: Chasmic Soulfarer by 35%, and firing off 3 Dustalker Bolts that deal 100% of Cyno’s ATK as Electro DMG.”
Cyno will be joined by another polearm user, 4-Star Hydro character Candace, and Hydro sword-user Nilou when Version 3.1 comes out on September 28. In the meantime, you can check out Cyno in action in the video below.
