Final Fantasy XIV Patch 6.1: Newfound Adventures Is Now Live

Patch 6.1: Newfound Adventures is now live on the Final Fantasy XIV servers after a rather lengthy maintenance period.

As previously announced, the update will introduce new story and side quests, as well as a whole host of new instances and content. The update will also open up the Crystal Conflict PvP mode and the new Empyreum residential zone. It also marks the start of the new housing lottery which will be in use for all housing purchases, replacing the old first come, first served rule when buying plots of land.

Patch 6.1 also comes with an extensive list of PvP changes and adjustments for all job types. PvE gameplay has also been updated with improved animation locks, tank gameplay mechanics, item potencies, and more.
