Final Fantasy XIV Launches Patch 4.2 Mini-Site, Announces Housing Demolition Recommencement

Piggy-backing off of Live Letter XL, which you can read here, Final Fantasy XIV has launched the Patch 4.2 mini-site - known as Rise of a New Dawn. Based on the mini-site, the highlights of the Patch 4.2 series are-

  • Main Scenario Quests
  • Omega: Sigmascape
  • The Jade Stoa
  • New Dungeons
  • Forbidden Land, Eureka Anemos
  • The Feast (PvP)
  • Beast Tribe Quests (Ananta!)
  • Hildibrand Adventures
  • Glamours
  • "Additional Updates"

More information will be given in the days leading up to Live Letter XLI, and Patch 4.2's release. Additionally, come Patch 4.2, the Automatic Housing Demolition system will be re-instated. Initially suspended during the 2017 hurricane season, as many players couldn't access their houses, Patch 4.2 will see the return of this feature.

Players who have not accessed their estates in at least 30 days will find their personal estates demolished, and the plots put up for sale. Free Company estates will be put up for sale if no member of the Free Company has accessed them in 30 days.

If players have access their house at least once during the suspended period, their houses will start counting down from Patch 4.2 launch. If players have not accessed their house from September 15th, 2017, then the housing demolition will count down from how many days were left before the suspension of housing being demolished.

As always, Square Enix will notify players with an email if their estate is scheduled to be demolished, so players have time to log on if they want to save their estates.
