Over one million players have braved Enshrouded’s mist-covered medieval fantasy world in the four days since the multiplayer survival game launched into Steam Early Access. It certainly doesn’t hold a candle to that other early access survival game, but it’s still a cause for celebration.

“We are completely blown away by its success and the overwhelmingly positive reception,” said developer Keen Games. “From the bottom of our hearts, we want to thank all our players. We’re excited to let you know that this is just the beginning for Enshrouded.”

The studio vows to continue improving the game even as it works on cooking up its next major update. There’s a feature upvote page if you want to help the developers decide on what will be included in the update, with the most votes currently going to changing the problematic server-wide quests to the traditional player-based system.

As for improving the game, the developers have rolled out five bug-fixing patches to date that addressed various issues related to character saves and server stability, with more fixes and updates to come. “We’re excited to let you know that this is just the beginning of Enshrouded,” Keen Games tweeted. “We are looking forward to continuing the development of the game with your support, aiming to make Enshrouded the best game it can be.”
