Enshrouded Soars Past 2 Million Player Mark As Work Begins On Next Major Update

2024 is turning out to be the year of survival MMO’s with several newly launched titles competing for their share of the pie. One of those games is Enshrouded, a co-op survival RPG which now touts 2 million total players in its first month in early access.
“Since its first week, the game has held a steady Very positive rating on Steam, and the reception everywhere has been both incredible and humbling,” said developer Keen Games. “Whether you're one of the celebs, athletes, or one of the two million anonymous Flameborn who have taken up the fight to reclaim Embervale, you're all absolute heroes in our book. We couldn't have expected such a response.”
Enshrouded is a voxel-based survival crafting game where players get to terraform their environments, build structures, and create co-op societies in a world that’s slowly being overrun by a mysterious mutant-creating fog called The Shroud.
Keen Games is already hard at work on the game’s first major content update and is asking players to cast their vote on which of the 2600+ player-requested features they’d like to see in the near future. “You've trusted us to make Enshrouded the best game it can be. The journey is barely starting, and we can't wait to share it with you!” the studio says.
