Co-op Survival Sandbox Enshrouded Launches Into Early Access On Steam

Keen Games’ new co-op survival sandbox game, Enshrouded, has officially launched into Steam Early Access today. The game popped up on our radar in May last year and is described by the developers as a cross between Valheim and Zelda with “light” survival mechanics, a voxel-based building system, and a vast open world continent to explore.
“Enshrouded is a game of survival, crafting, and Action RPG combat, set within a sprawling voxel-based continent. As you journey across the mountains and deserts of an open world, you are free to choose your path and shape your destiny.”
Like most traditional survival sandbox games, you’ll find yourself dropped into the medieval fantasy world with nothing but your wits and will to survive. You’ll then have to scrounge and scavenge for resources to build tools and a shelter while fending off the many ravenous beasts prowling the game world.
As you make progress, you’ll eventually be forced to enter the so-called Shroud where you’ll face mutated horrors, powerful bosses, and ravaging factions deep within the mysterious mist. Fortunately, you’ll be able to work together with up to 15 of your friends to survive Enshrouded’s hostile world and to take on the horrors of The Shroud.
The new survival title is currently on sale at 10% off on Steam until February 1 and is expected to make the leap to full release within a year. A console launch is also currently in development.
