Baldur’s Gate 3 has just received a fresh helping of new content as Patch 5 rolls out on the co-op RPG’s servers. It’s another hefty patch that knocked Patch 1 off its lofty throne to replace it as the game’s biggest update yet, requiring a whopping 130GB of disk space to install.

Headlining Patch 5 is a new epilogue section after the final fight against the Netherbrain, where players will be able to properly say their final goodbyes to their allies. Another highlight of the update is the addition of the new Honor and Custom game modes.

Honor Mode will increase the game’s difficulty by enabling legendary actions for bosses while also preventing “save scumming”. Players will also have the option to enable a permadeath feature that automatically disable Honor Mode if they choose to respawn and continue playing when they die. Custom Mode, on the other hand, functions as advertised and will let players adjust and toggle various gameplay elements to either make the game easier or more challenging.

Patch 5 also introduced a new Ramazith’s Tower fight that triggers if you betray Nightsong, the ability to access all companion inventories while at the camp, Orin’s outfit drops, and a massive list of gameplay adjustments, improvements, and bug fixes.

You can check out the extremely beefy patch notes on the Baldur’s Gate 3 official site. Note that it may contain spoilers just in case you haven’t completed the game yet.
