Baldur’s Gate 3 Officially Launches On PlayStation 5 With Cross-Save Support

PlayStation 5 users can finally start their adventures in Faerûn as Baldur’s Gate 3 officially launches on Sony’s next-gen console. According to developer Larian Studios, the PS5 version isn’t just a direct port of its PC counterpart but was specifically designed and built for the console since day one.
“[…] Much work has gone into delivering the game’s complexities in just a few buttons and triggers,” the studio said. “Using the PlayStation 5 DualSense Controller, access to actions, spells, long rests and items becomes a matter of muscle memory.”
While cross-play between the PC and PS5 versions isn’t available just yet, they both offer cross-save support which means that you can easily continue your PC sessions on the PS5 or vice versa.
Baldur’s Gate 3 will also be launching on Xbox Series X later this year with split-screen co-op in addition to cross-save. A Mac release is also planned for later this month, the details of which will be revealed soon.
