Baldur’s Gate 3 saw its first major update arrived over the weekend, a patch so big that it went way beyond Steam’s character limit. Obviously, we’re not going to go over each and every change and fix included in the patch, but overall it mostly focused around fixing some of the bigger issues in the multiplayer RPG’s romance system.

The patch addressed several animation issues when shorter characters, like Gnomes, kissed taller characters. Problematic romance sequences should also now trigger properly. The update also fixed floating objects, quest blockers, and a long list of other annoying gameplay bugs. Additionally, players in multiplayer sessions will no longer be able to steal items from other players’ inventories as long as they’re locked.

According to Larian Studios, Patch #2 is just around the corner, promising significant performance improvements. The studio also reported that players have logged a total of 200,000,000 hours of playtime since the Dungeons & Dragons game launched earlier this month.

You can check out the gargantuan patch notes on the Baldur’s Gate 3 official site, just be wary of spoilers if you haven’t played all the way through the game.
