20 Year Old MMORPG Cronous Online Launches on Steam

The classic fantasy MMORPG Cronous Online launched on Steam yesterday on August 31, 2022. It's developed and published by Valofe / Neowiz.

Despite the game's age, it's been running in South Korea continuously since its launch back in 2002. The English version was available on Aeria Games back in 2008, but that version shut down pretty quickly. This global English version on Steam has been averaging about 70 players online so far.

Cronous is a dated MMORPG with only 4 playable classes (there are job advancements though). The game's store page on Steam boasts that it has "supports zoom-in and zoom-out functions, camera rotation, and camera height adjustment", which may have been impressive a couple decades ago, but not so much today.

Still, it's good to see these older MMORPGs finding new life on Steam. I plan to check it out for fun, even if its only for an afternoon.
