It’s been a busy week for Ramen VR following the official release of their highly-anticipated virtual reality MMORPG, Zenith. Over the past few days, the team has been hard at work addressing launch issues, improving quality-of-life, and fixing bugs that popped up since the game’s official launch on VR platforms.

So far, the team has improved server stability and increased their capacity by 15% to accommodate the massive influx of players that descended on the game on launch day.

“With crazy high numbers of people logging into Zenith all on launch day, our team worked around the clock to balance and optimize server loads and also handle elusive scaling issues that no amount of load testing was able to reveal beforehand,” Ramen VR explained.

Major login and voice chat issues have also been fixed although the team admits that they still have a few more things to work on. Additionally, shard locking was removed to allow players to switch between servers to play with their friends or for any other reason without having to wait 24 hours to do so.

Ramen VR also revealed their development roadmap for the year, starting with a minor content update coming sometime this month. The update will introduce new quests, reworked Fractured Plains quests, and in-game alerts, as well as balance changes and bug fixes.

Down the road, players can expect to see player housing, new lifeskills and crafting, more endgame content, and the new Cyber Ninja class. Ramen VR, however, reminds players that plans may change as work progresses on the new features and content while promising to remain transparent and open to feedback.

“Transparency and Doing Right By The Player is a core tenet of Ramen VR’s DNA and we’ll always do our best to share everything we’re working on,” assured the team. “At the same time, our biggest strength is our ability to change directions quickly based on community feedback, so we will not project our complete long term roadmap as it’s constantly changing and shifting. Understand that we just want to be careful about creating expectations that may change.”

“We will, however, strive to confirm all of the features that will eventually be in Zenith, just understand that we can’t always commit to an exact timeline,” they added.
