Zenith ‘Is Doing Fantastic’ Says Ramen VR, Unlimited Gliding Glitch Fixed

It’s been half a year since Zenith launched into Early Access on Steam and it looks like the VR MMORPG is doing extremely well.
“The game is doing fantastic. Since we launched the patch, we've seen our peak concurrency numbers roughly double and sustain at a much higher level than before,” reported developer Ramen VR. “It’s still early but we're also seeing people spend 15-20% more time in the game on average as well. We’ve seen our new users per day double from pre-launch. We've jumped up 8 places on the best selling charts too.”
That same playerbase, however, doesn’t seem to be too happy with the recent fix for the gliding exploit that allowed players to glide around for an extremely long period of time. Ramen VR, however, said that while they take player feedback seriously their goal fix is to ensure that the game remains appealing and viable years into the future and allowing an exploit to go unfixed on account of a few players isn’t the way to do it.
“Every change we make is meant to strengthen the game overall and broaden Zenith’s overall appeal. After all, we hope Zenith is still around in 20 or even 30 years,” said the studio. “In this case, it was clear to us that the gliding exploit […] destroyed any semblance of the scale and distance of the world [and] was impossible to tutorialize […] thus putting the majority of the userbase at a significant disadvantage.”
As compromise, the team has increased max gliding speed and take off velocity and reduced the stamina consumption of gliding by 20%. The team will also be looking into possibly adding a limited flying system sometime in the future.
