World of Warcraft is once again leaking like a sieve as dataminers unearth a new bullet hell-like game mode from a future retail build. Embedded in the code for last week’s Update 10.2.5 is a so-called “Vampire Survivors Mode” and assets for creatures that will presumably be used for it.

For context, Vampire Survivors is an extremely popular multiplayer indie game that launched on PC in October 2022. It’s also available on Xbox, mobile devices, and recently launched on the Nintendo Switch. It’s a rogue-like shoot ‘em up where players fight off endless waves of monsters as they try to survive as long as possible to unlock new characters, weapons, and items that can be used in future runs.

It’s unclear if the datamined game mode will follow the same mechanics as no other information was found except for its working title and the said assets. However, given Blizzard’s history with leaks, it’s probably safe to assume that we’ll be seeing a new game mode sooner or later.

In the meantime, World of Warcraft’s 19th anniversary celebration is now in full swing with a bunch of free in-game goodies for you to grab and classic bosses to fight if you haven’t done so already.
