WoW Season Of Mastery Players Will Be Able To Transfer To Classic Servers

As Blizzard Entertainment prepares to wind down the World of Warcraft Season of Mastery progression server this November, the studio will be leaving players with a parting gift. Players on the Season of Master realms who aren’t ready to retire their characters just yet will be allowed to transfer them over to either the vanilla Classic or the Wrath of the Lich King Classic servers when the season ends.
“Since the very beginning of Season of Mastery the topic of where seasonal characters would end up when the season ends has been a hot topic of discussion for not only the community, but for our team internally as well,” Blizzard wrote on the official forums. “We are excited to let everyone know that there will be a way for Season of Mastery characters to transfer to either Classic Era or Wrath of the Lich King Classic for free when the current season begins to wind down.”
While the option won’t be available until well after Naxxramas comes out on the Season of Mastery server, it’s definitely welcome news for players who want to continue playing their seasonal characters after the season comes to a close.
Meanwhile, Blizzard has rolled out a patch on the retail server that once again nerfs the Sepulcher of the First Ones Mythical raid to give more players a fighting chance to complete the encounter. Details on that can be found here.
