Warhammer 40K: Darktide Devs Drops Everything To Fix The Co-op Shooter

While Warhammer 40K: Darktide didn’t disappoint fans when the co-op looter shooter launched last November, there were still a few things that could use some work. Developer Fatshark Games acknowledged this fact in an open letter to the community where the studio admitted that it fell short and will be spending the next few months working to address issues with the game.
Unfortunately, this means that seasonal content drops have been suspended until they’ve fixed everything that needs fixing. The release of new premium cosmetics will also be put on hold to allow the team to focus all their efforts on the addressing the issues and other player feedback. The game’s console launch will also be delayed even further, but if they do manage to work out all the kinks, then it should translate to a much smoother console launch.
Some of the things that Fatshark is currently working on include a more rewarding progression loop, a complete crafting system, game stability improvements, and performance optimization. The team will also be revising its 2023 development roadmap to account for their new priority of “getting the game where it should be.”
On that note, Fatshark rolled out a patch yesterday which was entirely focused on fixing issues related to pretty much everything, from weapons to abilities, mobs, and client crashes. You can check out the full patch notes on the Warhammer 40K: Darktide official site for details.
