Valve Beefs Up Steam's Customer Service

Valve announced that they will be shifting resources to beef up their customer service department for Steam. In a press statement co-founder and president Game Newell said, “We know our customer service hasn’t been the best, but today we want to move forward and provide an experience worthy of our studio.” The changes should begin rolling out in the coming weeks.

No new employees will be hired to operate the overhauled department. The customer service corner will run under the same principles as Valve’s other team-oriented projects: employees wishing to work in customer service simply move their desk to the new area and begin working on the project.

Sources suggest that an intern named Terry, a known heavy sleeper with body odor, is the only employee currently stationed at customer service.

Whether or not Valve’s customer service announcement will improve the Steam experience remains to be seen. But at least this announcement shows Valve’s commitment to providing the best PC gaming experience.
