The Weekly Raid: Is The Digital Card Game Market A Bubble?

The MMOs.com crew has been playing quite a bit of Shadowverse, the latest card game to slap itself on Steam. It's performing pretty well. Even some Hearthstone players are flocking to the game and shouting its excellence.
Shadowverse joins a warehouse of card games, a warehouse that seems ready to explode (not all games released yet):
Chronicles Runescape Legends
Hearthstone
Fable Fortune
GWENT
Hex: Shards of Fate
Infinity Wars
Astral Heroes
Star Crusade
Faeria
The former is just a sample. There are many card games. Too many. Every established franchise seems to be cashing in on a card game, and while some take off, most are like fireworks: they fizzle into smoke soon after initial hype.
Are we about to reach critical mass? Or am I overthinking? After all there are plenty of survival games and the genre hasn't slowed down, yet.
