Snail Games Is Also Making A Dark And Light Mobile MMORPG

Snail Games announced today that the Dark and Light PC survival game is not the only Dark and Light game that it is currently working on. A Dark and Light mobile MMORPG, tentatively known as "Dark and Light Mobile," is also in development.

The mobile MMORPG seems to be somewhat of a faithful adaptation of the PC survival game, but with a key few differences. Players will be able to choose one of two factions: Dark or Light. There will be four races and eight classes to choose from. It is being billed as a sandbox MMORPG featuring action combat, animal husbandry, flying mounts, 40-person raid bosses, guild sieges, a dynamic world event system, and a 14.95 million square meter world—or 14,950 square kilometers or 122 km x 122 km. It seems like quite the advanced mobile MMORPG.

Whereas the PC game is built in Unreal Engine 4, Dark and Light Mobile is using the third-generation version of Snail Games' in-house FLexi Engine. The engine allows Snail to add lighting effects such as reflection, refraction, and dynamic light sources, as well as use the Unity Ragdoll system.
