Revelation Online Is Getting An Animated Movie In 2017
I woke up this morning convinced that I was ready for today's news. It's been a slow week, so nothing too exceptionally odd could possibly be thrown my way, right? Wrong. 2p is reporting that Chinese games publishing giant NetEase Games announced at its annual festival this year that a Revelation Online animated movie is on the way.
Wait, what? Yes, indeed, a Revelation Online animated movie is happening. Very little is known about the movie as of yet, but I can say with certainty that it doesn't look very good. It reminds me of the game in the sense that both it and the in-game cinematics look as if they were ripped straight out of the bygone PS2 era. Moreover, if you watch the teaser trailer embedded below, you can see that the animation doesn't look very fluid. That being said, it could be a decent action flick.
The Revelation Online animated movie is set to be released in China sometime in 2017. An English version has yet to be announced; I am inclined to say that there won't be one, but perhaps some fansub group will take it amongst themselves to add English subtitles to the movie one day.
