Revelation Online CBT1 Delayed Until November 3rd

Revelation Online's first closed beta test has been delayed until November 3rd, but you can pre-download the game now—if you're a chosen one. The announcement arrives after Quality Assurance testers discovered issues with the client:

QA has encountered some client stability issues with certain situations. While not systemic, their occurrences would be detrimental to the experience of some of our players. While many testers would be inclined to forgive such an ordeal in early stage testing, we must take into account that it would risk leaving a bitter first impression of Revelation Online for some of you.

The Revelation Online team is promising first-dibs players some form of compensation to "rub off the bitter memory of 25th of October 2016." But we won't know what to expect until October 25th.

It seems like the right move to me. Game-breaking issues could turn the game into a pariah, someone from r/MMORPG to throw stones at. Better off delaying a game to make sure it works.

It's funny to me that even though the test phase is called "closed beta test" it's really more of a sampling of the full meal. And if you don't please Gordon Ramsay-players you could be kicked out of the kitchen.
