Requiem Online Opens Pre-Registrations Ahead Of Its August 25 Reboot

Gravity Interactive is breathing new life into its horror MMORPG Requiem Online with its upcoming Requiem: Desiderium Mortis reboot. The reboot will feature the same storyline and gameplay mechanics as the original 2008 release but with a few changes to make it less of a PvP gankfest and shift the focus to PvE.
Like in the original game, players will embark on a quest to save the fictional world of Ethergia from an army of horrific creatures which were unleashed during the world-ending event called the Thanatos Incident. As if thwarting a monster invasion wasn’t enough, they’ll also have to contend with other players in open-world PvP.
The reboot, however, will do away with open-world PvP mechanics in favor of more controlled PvP modes ranging from 10v10 battlegrounds to massive 50v50 wars. PvP-focused classes will also be reworked with new skills and abilities to make them viable for PvE encounters, while other classes will have their skillsets updated with some getting new ultimates.
The Requiem: Desiderium Mortis reboot is slated to launch on August 25th on PC with pre-registrations now open on the official site. Pre-registered players will get 24 hours of VIP game time, Ioxenic gear pieces, ornaments, one implant, and rental mounts.
Requiem Online originally launched in 2008 and is currently still in operation albeit with a single digit playerbase on Steam. Hopefully, the reboot will help bring new players into the game or encourage old players to return.
