Remnant: From The Ashes Sequel ‘Remnant 2’ Will Be Launching This Summer

Gunfire Games and Gearbox Publishing has confirmed that Remnant: From the Ashes will indeed be getting a sequel, and it’s coming out sooner than expected. The original game’s design director John Pearl first mentioned the possibility of a sequel back in 2020. That possibility is now a reality as the team officially announces Remnant 2 which will be launching sometime this summer.
Remnant 2 will feature various improvements over the original multiplayer shooter, not the least of which is the ability to have a doggo tag along for the ride. Archetypes, one of which is called the Gunslinger, will also have more specific roles and playstyles in the sequel instead of being dependent on loadout choices.
As for the original game, it’s officially made its way to the Nintendo Switch for those who want to take on supernatural baddies while on the go. Unfortunately, cross-play will not be available with other platforms just as it’s not available for the PlayStation version.
You can check out the official Nintendo Switch launch trailer below and nine minutes of uninterrupted gameplay footage from Remnant 2 right after that.
