Ramen VR Pushes Back Zenith Alpha Test To Early 2021
Cyberpunk VR MMO Zenith’s monthly dev update is here with Ramen VR founders Andy Tsen and Lauren Frazier taking center stage.
According to Tsen and Frazier, development on the game is going extremely well and most of the core systems and mechanics are already in place including major biomes, story quests, FATE-like public quests, skill trees, crafting, basic guilds, party setup, and friends. The team says that they’ve also completed work on the game’s first story dungeon and are currently working on the second one in addition to fleshing out the core classes and subclasses.
“Now that [the basic tech systems are] complete, we have to spend time to really polish the game, polish these features, and add-on the really cool stuff that’ll really make Zenith feel unique from other MMOs,” said Tsen. “The next couple of months will be super exciting because we’re going to be able to focus on that.”
Unfortunately, because of the game’s expanding feature set, Alpha tests will have to be pushed back to early 2021 instead of later this year. “Because of all the really amazing features that we’ve been adding and the extra level of polish we want to give [the game], we’re going to have to delay [the Alpha] a bit,” revealed Tsen. “I don’t want to give you a firm date because I don’t want to set expectations and then let you guys down but when we do have a date you’ll be the first to know.
