A New Chapter In The New World Saga Begins With Season 2: Blood Of The Sands
A new season has begun in New World with the launch of Season 2: Blood of the Sands following a surprising downtime of just two hours. The new season will take players on a journey through the scorching desert of Brimstone Sands as they help the eponymous group of ancient desert-dwellers search for the eggs of a massive sandworm known as Shah Neshen, the Devourer.
“Players will join the Silver Crows and Rima the Bard to uncover the secrets of the order and their history with the creature they call Shah Neshen. Players will enter the Arena of Shah Neshen the Devourer and defeat the massive sandwurm for elite rewards in a challenging new PvE game mode for 20 max-level players."
The start of Season 2 also marks a major change in Aeternum’s landscape as Artemis and her Angry Earth horde descend on the starting zone. It’s now surrounded by a wall of thorns barring all along its borders, barring access to everything within it until further notice.
Additionally, Season 2 brings forth the new Sandwurm Elite trial, updates to the PvP reward track, and the Devourer Sandwurm Heartrune which gives players the ability to summon a sandworm to attack specific targets. Players can also look forward to the addition of the open-world MMORPG’s transmog system in the mid-season update. The new cosmetic system will allow players to use Transmog Tokens to transform the appearance of their gear into any other gear found in the game.
