Mir 5 Introduces "First AI Boss" In Upcoming MMORPG
WeMade, the South Korean gaming studio behind the Mir franchise, announced today the world's first "AI Boss" in an MMO. The boss is powered by Nvidia ACE which uses AI to analyse player behavior and adapt to past experiences to create a unique everchanging challenge.
Currently all raid bosses in MMORPGs are scripted encounters that players can simply memorize to beat. This technology aims to change that by making fights more dynamic.
If this technology works well enough, players should expect to see it in their favorite MMORPGs. Perhaps a few expansions down the line Final Fantasy XIV and World of Warcraft will implement something like this.
