Worlds Adrift’s Island Creator Will Be Returning To Lost Skies With New Features

Remember when we said that Bossa Studios’ new Lost Skies multiplayer PvE game looked a lot like Worlds Adrift? Well, apparently gameplay and visuals won’t be the only thing that the two games will be sharing as Lost Skies will also be using a redesigned version of the now-defunct game’s island creator tool.
According to the studio’s latest blog post, the new island creation tool will build upon the foundation of its predecessor while incorporating new features, improved visuals, and additional assets. Players can expect new textures, a wider variety of placeable items, and the ability to incorporate different biome features within a single island.
Furthermore, the tool offers intricate details such as options to adjust grass height and how it moves with the wind, weathering and moss shaders, and even an ivy generator to add more natural elements to the islands. The post also showcases a side-by-side comparison of an older player-made island from Worlds Adrift, rebuilt using the new Lost Skies tool.
Bossa Studios has yet to announce a release date for the island creation tool, let alone the game, but the latest post does confirm that the highly requested feature will be making a return at some point in the future, although in a different game.
