River Hobbits Are Coming To Lord Of The Rings Online Today With Update 37

After being delayed by a week, Standing Stone Games is finally ready to welcome the new River Hobbits starting race to Lord of the Rings Online later today. The River Hobbits, along with their new housing zone, will be arriving as part of Update 37, a.k.a. Humble Homes of the Holbytlan later today.

You’ll have to spend some cash to gain access to the new Hobbit race though as they’ll initially be available as part of a new cash shop bundle. They will, however, be purchaseable using LOTRO Points at some point in the future. The houses will also be sold through the cash shop at varying prices ranging from 225 to 1,000 Mithril Coins.

Update 37 will also bring with it the big stat squish and major changes to the Guardian and Beorning classes. Players can also look forward to the Forester crafting event coming on September 1st. The full patch notes are now up on the Lord of the Rings Online official site in preparation for the update’s release.

The servers are scheduled to go down for maintenance from 6 a.m. - 10 a.m. PDT.
