Lord Of The Rings Online Fixes Stat Squish Issues And Continues To Tweak Class Balance

With the sweeping changes made to Lord of the Rings Online as part of last week’s stat squish, something was bound to go wrong… and some things did. True to Murphy’s Law, Update 37 broke character builds and inadvertently made monsters stronger than originally intended which didn’t bode well for both the players and the developers.
Standing Stone Games, however, immediately started to work on addressing the issues, causing the new Combe Forester event to be delayed from September 1st to mid-September. As promised, they’ve now rolled out a hotfix that should address some of the pain points of the update, including various stat squish issues, broken healing values, and erroneous enemy mitigations, while also increasing the damage floor of skills by a fair amount.
The hotfix also included additional balance tweaks for the Beorning, Guardian, Burglar, Hunter, and Rune-Keeper classes, with a particular focus on the tanky Guardian class. As such, Guardians have been given another free trait point reset.
The full patch notes can be found on the Lord of the Rings Online official website. Players can also expect the delayed Forester crafting event to begin on September 15th.
