Living World Season 1 Returns To Guild Wars 2 In A Familiar But Different Form

ArenaNet has officially brought back Guild Wars 2’s first Living World season in a familiar but different shape and form. Season 1, which was originally designed to be a series of one-and-done episodes and encounters, is now permanently available for free starting with Episode 1: Flame and Frost.
“Beginning today, and continuing through 2022, Season 1 returns as a series of story-based episodes that allow players to finally see the origins of characters like Rox and Braham, earn achievements unique to Season 1, and once again experience the famed villain arc of Scarlet Briar and her plans for Lion’s Arch firsthand.”
Season 1 introduces players to characters that would eventually go on to play a big part in the Guild Wars 2 storyline, from the founding of the Dragon’s Watch several years ago to the conclusion of the Elder Dragon arc with the release of the End of Dragons expansion. Players will now be able to experience the entire narrative from beginning to end with new rewards accompanying the revamped episodes, including new weapons and armor pieces inspired by allied characters and enemies featured in Season 1.
“In the wake of the climactic events of the personal story, the world begins to shift. A dangerous new faction has formed in the Shiverpeaks, and the Pact commander steps in to help as refugees pour into the Black Citadel and Hoelbrak. Team up with Rox and Braham Eirsson for the first time, and confront the menace of the Molten Alliance!”
The returning season also comes with a fresh new trailer to get you started. You can check that out right after the jump. You can also head over to the Guild Wars 2 official site for more info.
