Ikonei Island Players Can Now Give Their Friends Free Access To The Cozy Co-op Game

Cozy life sims and multiplayer games in general are undoubtedly better when you bring your friends along for the ride. Not everyone is willing to spend money on a game though, which is why Ikonei Island has come up with a unique workaround. It’s still going to be a buy-to-play title, but now your friends will be able to join in on your cozy co-op adventures for free with the recently released Friends’ Pass, just in time for the game’s full version launch on Steam later today.
“Co-op play is at the heart of the game in Ikonei Island,” said publisher Jetpack Collective. “The Ikonei Island: Friends’ Pass, which launched on Steam last month, allows your friends to join you even if they haven’t purchased the full game. The Friend’s Pass also works as a demo so you can learn how to play.”
Ikonei Island: An Earthlock Adventure comes from developer Snowcastle Games, the studio behind the single-player roleplaying adventure game Earthlock. In the multiplayer spinoff, players are dropped into an island that they can explore, build up, and customize together with other players. It comes with all the features you’d expect from a cozy life sim, including farming, gathering, crafting, and of course, lots and lots of building.
Now, you’ll no longer need to group up with strangers since you can now invite your friends to join you on your island paradise for free.
“Hop onto the Island and explore the online multiplayer co-op experience with up to 3 of your friends,” said Snowcastle. “Anyone can play solo or together for the first ~2 hours of play. But if at least one of you owns the full game you can play indefinitely!”
